I did it!

I did it! I took the plunge.

I'd written a short romance. After several rounds of self-edits and tweaks, I subbed a query letter to an E-publisher. A couple of weeks later, I got a request for the full. I sent in the full a few days ago. Now, I'm *cough* patiently *cough* waiting for a response.

I did receive a confirmation email from the publisher stating I should hear something by no later than Feb. 2011. I hope I don't have to wait for an answer that long, but with the holidays coming up, it probably will be.

Anywho, if anyone even reads this blog of mine, please keep your fingers, legs, whatever crossed for me please!

I need your votes

I entered the 'Tis the Season writing contest and my short is up for votes. The voting goes for one week and then they pick the top ten finalists and then a round of voting for those finalists. The winners get some awesome critique time from Editors and Agents.

My story is here http://theseasonforromance.com/contest/contemporary_entry_2.php

Thanks,
Rylee

It's been a long time

Wow, it's been a long time since I've blogged. Unfortunately, the reasons were health related and out of my control. The good news is, I'm almost fully recovered and now I'm back :)

I'm ready to get some writing done and get some books published. I've joined NaNoWriMo this year. I'm nervous and excited about pushing myself to get a novel started and finished (well finished writing, it'll need a lot of work after) in one month. Wish me luck!

Wish me luck everyone...

I wrote a 50k novel during a JaNoWriMo event on a forum I'm a member of (Romance Divas). I have finally finished all edits/rewrites and have gotten a thumbs up from a couple of beta readers so I just submitted it to an e-publisher. I have butterflies in my stomach.

New Release~Compromising Positions by Jenna Bayley-Burke

Compromising Positions releases today!

Falling in love is the last thing on his busy agenda…but compromising positions can lead just about anywhere.

David Strong knows how to do a lot of things—run an international fitness company, finesse stock portfolios and stay out of emotional entanglements. That is, until he gets tangled up with Sophie Delfino and her Sensational Sex workout. He’s supposed to help her demonstrate Kama Sutra positions for her couples’ yoga class. The rigorous postures require more than just physical control. And his co-instructor unexpectedly tests his control to the limit.

Sophie’s been fantasizing about David since her teens, but she never dreamed she’d actually be expected to run through her intimate desires—with an audience! The class is very professional, tame even—or it would be, if she’d been in any of the positions before. But she hasn’t—except in her wildest fantasies about David. Sophie knows she wants David in every way, and she’s flexible enough to use whatever she has to get him.

David can’t afford any unexpected distractions. Besides the sensual positions he has to endure without embarrassing himself in public, there’s an embezzler stealing from his company. And then there’s Sophie—who is well on her way to stealing his well-guarded heart.

Warning: This is one exercise program you won’t need to consult your doctor before beginning…unless he’s hot and available for house calls. The Kama Sutra isn’t for the prudish or faint of heart, and neither is this story.

Losing Heart....

For some reason, for the past few days, I feel I've almost lost the heart to write. I open word and put my fingers on the keyboard and then two second later, I close word.

Does anyone else ever get this way?

The first day of Spring.....

YAY! It's officially the first day of Spring. BOO! It's cold here today :=( oh well, it's supposed to get warmer later in the weekend and most of next week.

I love spring! What's your favorite season?

Welcome to my blog!

Welcome to my new blog on blogspot!

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Rylee Myst and I'm an aspiring Romance/Erotica author. I currently have more WIPs (works in progress) then I can count on both hands but I have two that I have completed the first draft and first round of edits and revisions on. I hope to get them polished and ready for submission within the next few weeks.

My blog will take you on my journey of ups and downs in my writing career, as well as, random current events, theme days, and some pimpage of my fellow authors' books.

I hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment. I'd love to hear your feedback!
